Bud Bundy spent eleven seasons trying to become somebody else. A rapper from the streets of New York. A smooth operator. A guy with a girlfriend. None of it took, and his family never once let it go.

Burned Beyond Recognition. Season 8, 1994. Bud and Kelly queue at the mall for tickets to see B.B.R., and the line runs right through the shoe store where their father works. Al holds their place, then abandons it. The band is never seen or heard on screen, not once, which makes this a band tee for a band that doesn't exist even inside the show.

Grandmaster B. Season 6, 1991. Bud starts junior college and invents a tough street rapper backstory to impress the girls. Peggy points out it's the plot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Bud's defense is that Fresh Prince is on NBC, so nobody will notice. Hat off, he's Bud. Hat on, you call him Grandmaster B. Nobody ever did.

Virgin Hotline. Season 9, 1994. Bud signs up for community service expecting the Brazilian rainforest and gets assigned to counsel virgins over the phone. He works under an alias until Peggy opens the newspaper and finds a full page ad with her son's face on it.

First In Line For Lovin'. Season 6, 1991. Bud's sleepwear, worn in the episode that turns out to be his father's nightmare. His sister was in the same scene, wearing Property of Chicago Jail.
