The Bundys Are Back Again: Everything We Know About the 2026 Married with Children Reunion
They Just Did a Reunion in January. Now They're Doing It Again.
If you missed the Married with Children cast reunion back in January, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that "An Evening with The Bundys" at the Wiltern Theatre in LA was a one-night thing and it sold out fast. The good news? They're doing it again.
On May 9, 2026, Ed O'Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, and David Faustino are getting back together for "An Afternoon with The Bundys" at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. This time it's part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, which is basically a week-long comedy takeover of LA running May 4 through the 10th.
Two Bundy reunions in the same year. If you told me that five years ago I would've assumed you were messing with me.

What Happened at the Wiltern
The January reunion was the first time all four of them had been on stage together since Katey Sagal's Walk of Fame ceremony back in 2014. David Faustino produced the show along with his partner Ben Brucato, and it was exactly what you'd hope for — behind-the-scenes stories, memories from the set, the kind of stuff that never made it into interviews.

They brought out Richard Gurman, one of the show's writers and producers, who talked about the writing process and what it was like working with creators Ron Leavitt and Michael Moye. A portion of every ticket went to Race to Erase MS, which is close to the cast — Christina Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 and has been open about what that's been like.
The fact that they booked a second event this quickly tells you everything. The demand was there. The fans showed up. And apparently the cast had a good enough time that they wanted to do it again.

And if the show itself wasn't enough, David Faustino hosted an afterparty where he got behind the decks as Grandmaster B — spinning at a venue called, appropriately, The Jiggly Room.

What We Know About "An Afternoon with The Bundys"
Here's what we have so far:
The event is Saturday, May 9 at 2:00 PM at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown LA. It's officially part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, which also features John Mulaney, Nate Bargatze, Shane Gillis, Jerry Seinfeld, and about 350 other shows across the city that week. The Bundys are in some pretty serious company.
The title switch from "Evening" to "Afternoon" is a fun touch. Afternoon show, 2 PM start — it's very Al Bundy on a Saturday. You can almost picture him on the couch with his hand down his pants, watching Psycho Dad, not planning to move until someone makes him.
No word yet on whether they'll add more cast members this time around. Amanda Bearse (Marcy) and Ted McGinley (Jefferson) weren't at the Wiltern show, and honestly, getting Ed, Katey, Christina, and David together is already enough. But it would be something to see the full crew on stage together.
Why This Matters for Fans
Married with Children ran for 11 seasons on Fox from 1987 to 1997. It was the network's first primetime series and it ended up being the longest-running live-action sitcom Fox ever aired. 259 episodes. And for a lot of us who grew up watching it, the show shaped our sense of humor in ways we probably don't fully appreciate.
The thing about the Bundys is that they weren't trying to be a good family. They weren't learning lessons. Al wasn't coming home with some heartwarming speech about the importance of togetherness. He was coming home, sitting on the couch, and complaining about his day at the shoe store. Peggy was ignoring him. Kelly was doing Kelly things. Bud was being Bud. And somehow that was more honest than anything else on television.
There's a reason people still wear NO MA'AM shirts nearly 30 years after the show ended. It's not just nostalgia. It's recognition. You either get it or you don't, and the people who get it really get it.

The Animated Revival is Still Out There Too (possibly)
While we're talking about the Bundys making a comeback — the animated revival that Sony has been working on is still in the pipeline. It was first reported back in 2022 that all four main cast members were attached to voice their characters. The idea is that animation works better given everyone's schedules, and Christina Applegate confirmed in a Vanity Fair interview that she, Ed, Katey, and David were still on board.
There hasn't been a ton of public movement on it recently, but these reunions feel like they're keeping the momentum going. Whether the animated show ends up on Netflix, Hulu, or somewhere else, there's clearly an appetite for new Bundy content. The reunion events are proof of that.
If You're Going (or Wish You Were)
Tickets for An Afternoon with The Bundys are available on Ticketmaster. The event is part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, which takes over LA from May 4 through 10 with events at the Hollywood Bowl, the Greek Theatre, the Intuit Dome, and a bunch of other venues. "An Afternoon with The Bundys" is at the Orpheum, which is a gorgeous old theater on Broadway in downtown LA.
If you're actually making the trip, do yourself a favor and show up in proper Bundy gear. There's something about being in a room full of people wearing Polk High 33 jerseys and NO MA'AM tees that just hits different. It's an instant conversation starter with every other fan in the building.

And if you can't make it to LA — which, let's be real, is most of us — the next best thing is celebrating from wherever you are. Stream some classic episodes, grab your favorite Bundy gear, and keep an eye on social media for clips and photos from the event. Fans always come through with the content.
The Shows Everyone Should Rewatch Before May 9
If the reunion has you wanting to revisit some episodes, here are a few that hold up incredibly well:
"NO MA'AM" (Season 8, Episode 9) — The one where it all started. Al forms the National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood. It's absurd, it's over the top, and it launched a thousand t-shirts. If you've ever wondered why people walk around in NO MA'AM gear, this is the episode.
"Married... with Prom Queen" (Season 3, Episodes 21–22) — The two-parter where Peggy and Marcy go head-to-head for prom queen. Peak Married with Children comedy and a great showcase for Katey Sagal.
"The Desperate Half-Hour" (Season 9, Episode 15) — A hostage situation at the shoe store. It shouldn't work but it does. Ed O'Neill is brilliant in it.
"Assault and Batteries" (Season 5, Episode 20) — The episode with the Psycho Dad song. If that tune doesn't live rent-free in your head, you haven't watched it enough times.
"Al Bundy, Shoe Dick" (Season 5, Episode 1) — Al becomes a private investigator. Sort of. It's exactly as competent as you'd expect.
You could also just start from the pilot and work your way through. I've done it more times than I'll admit publicly.
What This Reunion Season Means
Two reunions in one year isn't an accident. Between the live events, the animated revival in development, and the show's growing presence on streaming (it's found a whole new audience online), Married with Children is having a genuine moment right now.
Part of it is timing. We're in an era of reboots and revivals, and people are hungry for the shows that meant something to them. But part of it is that the Bundys just don't age out. The humor still lands. Al's rants about his day at the shoe store are still funny. The dynamic between him and Peggy still works. And the show's refusal to moralize or apologize is, if anything, more refreshing now than it was in the '90s.
If you're a lifelong fan, this is a good time to be one. And if you're new to the show — welcome to 9764 Jeopardy Lane. The door's always open. Just don't expect anyone to get up and answer it.
