The Bundys Are Back Again: Everything We Know About the 2026 Married with Children Reunion
Update: The "An Afternoon with The Bundys" event originally scheduled for May 9, 2026 at the Orpheum Theatre has been postponed. We'll update this post with any news about future Married with Children reunion events. In the meantime — there's plenty of Bundy news to keep up with.
Two Bundy Reunions in One Year — A Year to Remember
2026 was supposed to be the year of two Married with Children reunions. The first one happened in January at the Wiltern Theatre in LA, and it was everything fans hoped it would be. The second one — "An Afternoon with The Bundys" at the Orpheum, scheduled for May 9 as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival — was postponed. But the fan community is still very much alive, and the cast continues to engage with fans in new ways (more on that below).
If you missed the January reunion, here's what you missed — and why the Bundy fandom is having one of its biggest moments in nearly 30 years.

What Happened at the Wiltern
The January reunion was the first time all four main cast members — Ed O'Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, and David Faustino — had been on stage together since Katey Sagal's Walk of Fame ceremony back in 2014. David Faustino produced the show along with his partner Ben Brucato, and it was exactly what you'd hope for — behind-the-scenes stories, memories from the set, the kind of stuff that never made it into interviews.

They brought out Richard Gurman, one of the show's writers and producers, who talked about the writing process and what it was like working with creators Ron Leavitt and Michael Moye. A portion of every ticket went to Race to Erase MS, which is close to the cast — Christina Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 and has been open about what that's been like.
The demand was incredible. The Wiltern sold out fast, fans flew in from all over the country, and the energy in the room was something special.

And if the show itself wasn't enough, David Faustino hosted an afterparty where he got behind the decks as Grandmaster B — spinning at a venue called, appropriately, The Jiggly Room.

Why the Bundys Still Matter
Married with Children ran for 11 seasons on Fox from 1987 to 1997. It was the network's first primetime series and it ended up being the longest-running live-action sitcom Fox ever aired. 259 episodes. And for a lot of us who grew up watching it, the show shaped our sense of humor in ways we probably don't fully appreciate.
The thing about the Bundys is that they weren't trying to be a good family. They weren't learning lessons. Al wasn't coming home with some heartwarming speech about the importance of togetherness. He was coming home, sitting on the couch, and complaining about his day at the shoe store. Peggy was ignoring him. Kelly was doing Kelly things. Bud was being Bud. And somehow that was more honest than anything else on television.
There's a reason people still wear NO MA'AM shirts nearly 30 years after the show ended. It's not just nostalgia. It's recognition. You either get it or you don't, and the people who get it really get it.

The Animated Revival is Still Out There Too (possibly)
While we're talking about the Bundys making a comeback — the animated revival that Sony has been working on is still in the pipeline. It was first reported back in 2022 that all four main cast members were attached to voice their characters. The idea is that animation works better given everyone's schedules, and Christina Applegate confirmed in a Vanity Fair interview that she, Ed, Katey, and David were still on board.
There hasn't been a ton of public movement on it recently, but these reunions and BundyClub events feel like they're keeping the momentum going. Whether the animated show ends up on Netflix, Hulu, or somewhere else, there's clearly an appetite for new Bundy content. The reunion events and Ed O'Neill's BundyClub appearance are proof of that.
Rep the Bundy Legacy
You can't go to a reunion that's been postponed, but you can still rep the Bundys every day. Showing up in proper Bundy gear is the closest thing to being in a room full of fellow fans — there's something about a Polk High 33 jersey or a NO MA'AM tee that just hits different. It's an instant conversation starter with every other fan you meet.

Until the next live reunion happens, the best way to celebrate is to stream some classic episodes, grab your favorite Bundy gear, and keep an eye on social media for cast updates. Fans always come through with the content.
The Shows Everyone Should Rewatch
If all this reunion talk has you wanting to revisit some episodes, here are a few that hold up incredibly well:
"NO MA'AM" (Season 8, Episode 9) — The one where it all started. Al forms the National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood. It's absurd, it's over the top, and it launched a thousand t-shirts. If you've ever wondered why people walk around in NO MA'AM gear, this is the episode.
"Married... with Prom Queen" (Season 3, Episodes 21–22) — The two-parter where Peggy and Marcy go head-to-head for prom queen. Peak Married with Children comedy and a great showcase for Katey Sagal.
"The Desperate Half-Hour" (Season 9, Episode 15) — A hostage situation at the shoe store. It shouldn't work but it does. Ed O'Neill is brilliant in it.
"Assault and Batteries" (Season 5, Episode 20) — The episode with the Psycho Dad song. If that tune doesn't live rent-free in your head, you haven't watched it enough times.
"Al Bundy, Shoe Dick" (Season 5, Episode 1) — Al becomes a private investigator. Sort of. It's exactly as competent as you'd expect.
You could also just start from the pilot and work your way through. I've done it more times than I'll admit publicly.
What This Reunion Era Means for Fans
Two reunions in one year wasn't an accident. Even with the May event postponed, the appetite is clearly there. Between the January live show, the animated revival in development, Ed O'Neill on BundyClub, and the show's growing presence on streaming, Married with Children is having a genuine moment right now.
Part of it is timing. We're in an era of reboots and revivals, and people are hungry for the shows that meant something to them. But part of it is that the Bundys just don't age out. The humor still lands. Al's rants about his day at the shoe store are still funny. The dynamic between him and Peggy still works. And the show's refusal to moralize or apologize is, if anything, more refreshing now than it was in the '90s.
If you're a lifelong fan, this is a good time to be one. And if you're new to the show — welcome to 9764 Jeopardy Lane. The door's always open. Just don't expect anyone to get up and answer it.
